The Panda is a coin from China minted by the People's Bank of China. Issues from 1982 to 2015 weighed 31,103 grams (1 ounce). However, since 2016, the Chinese have issued a new type of panda with a weight of 30 grams, with the aim of introducing a new unit of measurement for gold, thus distinguishing itself from the traditional international ounce of 31.10 grams.
