These coins were produced from 18 April to 2 May 1814 in the Wolschott workshop in Meir Square.
HISTORY :
On 12 April 1814, the news of Napoleon's abdication was known in Antwerp. Carnot held a council of war with his staff to decide on the course to take. On 17 April, Carnot made it known that he supported the new government but that he refused to return the city to the allies. He resisted until 30 April before capitulating.
